Free Grant Secrets - Grants Available For Single Mums

Are you a single mom who wants to get out of her dead-end job but cannot afford college? If so, here are a few free grant secrets for you; one of which is that the government may be more than willing to pay for your college education!

Because single moms are those who will most likely wind up on welfare, it is in the best interest of the government to try to help you out by helping you get an education. Not only are there federal education grants, but also state and local grants that are all geared towards single moms.

Some of the grants that are offered are for moms of certain origins or those who live in certain states. Others are for anyone who applies. Millions of dollars in financial aid is given to single moms by the government each year for college tuition - why not be one of the lucky recipients?

The first thing you need to do when applying for a grant for financial aid for school is to fill out the FASFA form. This can be found online. This is a basic form that is relatively easy to complete that will ask you about your dependents, who are your children, as well as your situation. If you are on public aid, you can ask your caseworker about completing a FASFA form.

If you do not feel that you are cut out for college, here is another of many free grant secrets - educational financial aid is not just for college. It can be used to help you train for any vocation at all. If you want to become a hairdresser or manicurist, you may be eligible for a federal or state grant.

Most grants from the government that are given for education are based upon the financial needs of the recipient and the field in which they are to study. If you want to study in a certain field where people are needed desperately, such as the health care industry, you may be eligible for a special grant to attend nursing school.

There are literally thousands of financial aid grants out there for single moms. But in order to qualify for any grants, you have to fill out the FASFA form. You also have to have a college in mind where you will be accepted that will receive the FASFA form.

If you want to attend college, you can. Here is another one of many free grant secrets - it only takes filling out a some forms and being able to talk to people. Talk to the college financial aid officer and fill out the FASFA form today. Once you do this, you will see that there is a host of opportunities and grants awaiting you for free financial aid from the government.
